Meet Dr. Erica Wazney

Being a dentist is more than looking at and working on teeth. It’s about connecting with each patient, understanding what they desire in terms of care, and building a relationship with them as we achieve the dental goals. Some people are focused on improving and maintaining their dental health. Others want to change their smile or need restorative care so they’re able to comfortably and properly chew. I’m always attentive and respectful of each person’s desires.

I’m particularly drawn to reconstructive work with dental implants: giving someone a new smile, and a reason to do so, is amazing. When I watch a person’s face as they see their new smile for the first time, and see how overwhelmed and pleased they are with what we’ve accomplished, it brings tears to my eyes. I am humbled to help others in this way.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been part of the dental world. I was fortunate to spend my summers, when I was younger, working in both of my parents’ dental offices. I grew up seeing their relationships with patients and the fulfillment they found in their work. I knew it was the right profession for me.

The Center for Dental Health

I am happy working in a positive environment where all of us focus on our patients’ comfort and overall wellbeing. Hearing the staff and doctors talking and laughing with our patients, and seeing the bonds that grow between patients, their families, and us, is wonderful. We feel like one big, warm, supportive family!

Beyond the Practice

I grew up in Willoughby Hills, OH; after some time living further east I’ve returned to my hometown. When not working, I enjoy time with my fiancé, Rick, and our dog, Morgan. We love skiing, boating and fishing on Lake Erie, trying different restaurants, and relaxing at home.
